After launching Burnt Studios (Our activewear brand) in 2019 and working so closely with many of you, we saw that there was a massive need for a platform that provides all the information that you need to live a healthy & balanced life, all in one place.

Secondly, both of us have an absolute LOVE for anything related to fitness, training and sports, so what did we do? Yeah, you guessed it, we decided to create Burnt Fit!

Your 'one-stop-shop' for everything related to health, wellness, mental well-being and nutrition, all under one roof!
We approached some extremely talented, hardworking & well-educated people in the various health industries to bring your Burnt Fit. And that is where our motto was born: "By Industry Experts, For Everyone!". Together, we provide you with as much guidance as possible to live a balanced healthy and happy life!

We wanted to create a community where we uplift each other and celebrate every victory. No matter how big or small.

I’ve always been active and committed to a “healthy lifestyle”, but it’s only recently that I came to terms with what a “healthy lifestyle” really means. It is not just a Monday to Friday or one month Bikini challenge commitment, it’s a commitment for life.

Through sharing my journey, it became apparent to me that many girls are lost and misinformed when it comes to reaching their goals.

I want to help as many women as possible by providing them with the correct tools to achieve their goals and to reach that level of confidence which they deserve.

As with many things in life, this is a holistic approach. A great program won’t get you anywhere without a sufficient eating plan, enough sleep and rest! As a qualified level 5 Sports Nutritionist, I want to help girls to understand that restrictive diets or training styles are not necessarily the best way to go.

I am not an advocate for anything exclusionary (for example, no carbs, only cardio), but I am an advocate for a healthy, balanced lifestyle based on science and personal results.

As a qualified physiotherapist, I have always had an interest in the effects of moving your body in a gentle manner, in order to heal. From personal experience, I found that yoga was something that helped me cure and prevent many injuries that I had been faced with over the years of doing other sports.

I went on to complete my RYT200 teacher training and I love being able to incorporate physio and yoga in order to help people with challenges that their body is facing. Not only did I discover an immense impact that yoga has on the physical body, but rather, as a whole, looking at the mental and emotional benefits that this practise of meditation in movement has brought me, just by combining it with simple breath.

There are many misconceptions that people have about yoga; the purpose of it, not being flexible enough, that yoga is stereotyped to a specific group of people only and many more.

My aim is to get as many people as possible to take the leap and challenge themselves to starting yoga and to, over time, notice the unbelievable benefits that this practice has to offer, on a physical, mental and emotional level.

I am a registered dietitian and a member of both the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Association of Dietetics in South Africa (ADSA). I obtained my honours degree in dietetics from the University of Pretoria in 2016 & completed my community service year at Steve Biko Academic Hospital. Throughout these years my passion for nutrition within the medical field grew as I worked with patients from all walks of life with various co-morbidities. Working in the medical nutrition field allows one to counsel patients on how to achieve optimal nutritional status based on their underlying conditions. Since nutrition plays such an important role in our overall well-being it is key to determine what works for each individual and incorporate healthy eating habits that form part of your lifestyle.

Healthy meal plans have often been deemed bland and monotonous, consisting of the same dry chicken, broccoli and rice three times a day. It is however possible to create exciting, flavour-packed, delicious foods & drinks that are nutritionally dense and will help you achieve your dietary and health-related goals.

The combination of me being an avid foodie and having a passion for nutrition has led to me spending much of my free time in the kitchen coming up with exciting recipes and cooking for friends and family.

After testing hundreds of recipes out on my partner he decided to start photographing what was placed in front of him. My love for nutrition coupled with his background in organic chemistry lead to the development of @cape.townfoods. He is the visual creative director behind hours in the kitchen & produces images that hero my dishes!
