After launching Burnt Studios in 2019 and working so closely with many of you, we saw that there is a need for a platform that provides ALL the information that you need to live a healthy, balanced life. All in one place. This is your 'one-stop-shop' for information and motivation!

We approached some of the most talented, hardworking, well-educated people in the various health aspects to bring your Burnt Fit. We will keep working to bring you the best information in al things health and fitness. Keep your eye open for new programs launching soon!

We wanted to create a community where we uplift each other and celebrate every victory. No matter how big or small.

ULEEN FOURIE

I’ve always been active and committed to a “healthy lifestyle”, but it’s only recently that I came to terms with what a  “healthy lifestyle” really means. It is not just a Monday to Friday or one month Bikini challenge commitment, it’s a commitment for life. 

As a qualified group-class instructor I work with a lot of female clients. It became apparent that many girls are lost and misinformed when it comes to reaching their goals. 

I want to help as many women as possible through providing them with the correct tools to achieve their goals and to reach that level of confidence which they deserve.

As with many things in life, this is a holistic approach. A great program won’t get you anywhere without a sufficient eating plan, enough sleep and rest! As a qualified level 5 Sports Nutritionist, I want to help girls to understand that restrictive diets or training styles are not necessarily the best way to go. 

I am not an advocate for anything exclusionary (i.e. no carbs, only cardio), but I am an advocate of a healthy, balanced lifestyle based on science and personal results.

KYLIE JACOBS

As a qualified physiotherapist, I have always had an interest in the effects of moving your body in a gentle manner, in order to heal. From personal experience, I found that yoga was something that helped me cure and prevent many injuries that I had been faced with over the years of doing other sports. 

I went on to complete my RYT200 teacher training and I love being able to incorporate physio and yoga in order to help people with challenges that their body is facing. Not only did I discover an immense impact that yoga has on the physical body, but rather, as a whole, looking at the mental and emotional benefits that this practice of meditation in movement has brought me, just by combining it with simple breath. 

There are many misconceptions that people have about yoga; the purpose of it, not being flexible enough, that yoga is stereotyped to a specific group of people only and many more. 

My aim is to get as many people as possible to take the leap and challenge themselves to starting yoga and to, over time, notice the unbelievable benefits that this practice has to offer, on a physical, mental and emotional level.

TERI OLIVIER

Teri earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (Cum Laude) and is currently working in Cape Town. She has experience working in diverse settings, including schools, universities, the Department of Health, and the Department of Correctional Services. She is passionate about working collaboratively with children, adolescents and adults to achieve their goals. These goals may include personal development, working through difficulties, or symptom reduction. She draws on evidence-based practices to inform her work with clients and values establishing working relationships that best suit her clients’ individual needs and preferences.

DANIEL GOLDSTONE

Daniel has earned Master’s degrees in Research Psychology (Cum Laude) and Clinical Psychology (Cum Laude), and currently provides clinical services in Cape Town. Daniel has worked in a range of healthcare settings, has published widely in peer-reviewed academic journals, and has presented his work internationally. He has taught psychology to undergraduates at Stellenbosch University, and has served as the director of a youth-development organization that focuses on helping young men overcome adversity. Daniel has a special interest in using evidence-based strategies to help people improve their lives and achieve their potential, in whatever way is most appropriate for them. He values close collaboration with his clients and focuses on enhancing each person’s unique strengths to help them achieve their goals.
